Gallery Lombardi is pleased to present guest curator
Jason Graham, who put together this Telephone Game.
This is Graham's concept for the show, "Most people
are familiar with the children’s game commonly
referred to as the Telephone Game. The Telephone
Game (aka Broken Telephone, Operator, A Whisper
Down the Lane, Chinese Whispers and Pass It Down)
is a game often played by elementary aged kids
at parties or on the playground in which a phrase
or sentence is passed on from one player to another,
but is subtly altered in transit. The concept for
this project takes a visual spin on the game, resulting
in a body of work created by several artists who have
a wide range of visual styles, each influenced directly
by the artist which preceded them in the telephone chain."
