Mother’s Day Observed special event: Sunday, May 9. 6:00pm-10:30pm Mother’s Day Observed will feature bands, physical comedy, theater, and paintings. Root beer on tap will be served; you are welcome to bring your own adult beverages if that’s your thing. It only costs $5, the root beer is free…..one has no reason not to come. Paintings will be on display by comic book superhero Tim Doyle Angie Genesi, and others. |
Here are descriptions of the performers: Early Lines: Just back from their first tour, broken, beaten and uninspired, they will attempt to go through the motions at least one more time for this special event. Ear protection is recommended. Early Lines Schave and Reilly: Two vaudeville style comedians serving up top notch physical comedy. Don’t miss this rare Austin performance. There may be juggling. “The Living Wage” by Gypsy Baby: A ten minute silent play in “black and white” set to an original jazz score. Come see the lead, Amanda Shimmydown, fight The Man, pharmaceutical companies, and boredom! Gypsy Baby White Ghost Shivers: 1920’s hot jazz string band playing all sorts of foot tappin’ blues and western swing. There are rumours that the “nose flute” has been played during past shows – come see for yourself. White Ghost Shivers Guns Did Nothing: A three piece band performing “carbon based rock”. |
